The
day before an All-Ireland final has become a very important date in the G.A.A.
Calendar, and this Saturday is going to be no different.
The
All-Ireland 7’s Ladies Football Championship will take place in Dublin and
Waterford will be involved in the Competition as Comeragh Rangers will be
taking part in the Intermediate Competition.
Drawn
in Group Three, the mid county side have been paired with opposition from
Antrim, Dublin, Galway and Down.
The
ladies from the Clonea, Rathgormack and surrounding areas will have an early
start as they will have to be at the Saint Sylvester’s Club to register for 9pm
and they will play their first game ninety minutes later when they take on
Clonduff from Down.
After
receiving a bye in the second series of games they will be back in action at
twenty minutes past noon when they take on Tuam Cartoon from Galway.
A
game against Garda from Dublin follows at 1-30 and seventy minutes later its
Naomh Brid from Antrim that will be facing Comeragh Rangers.
Two
sides from each group will advance to the knockout stages of the competition.
Should Comeragh Rangers finish first or second in the group, they will be in
action again at 4pm. The group winners will play the championship semi finals
while the group runners up will play the plate semi final. The winners of these
games will only have a short space of time to re-charge the batteries as they
will be back in action again at 5pm.
